And Back to Starbucks I Go

I just found out that I won't have internet until...wait for it...October 6! I'm going to DIE! It's been a week and I'm already dying!!! They just may get to know me on a first-name basis at Starbucks. I'll probably end up with a gold card after these two weeks. Good thing it's only 1/2 a block away!

All Moved (not settled) In!

My roommate and I are all moved into our new apartment! We are sharing a studio, and there's actually quite a bit of space for the two of us. The only thing lacking is closet space. Not all of my stuff is completely put away yet, so I may have to get creative finding storage space!

I have been without internet and cable since Wednesday. There is absolutely nothing to do in an apartment without internet and cable!!! I'm going nuts! I'm currently sitting at Starbucks catching up on life via Social Media and e-mails. I don't recommend "going dark" to anyone!

DONE!.....for 2 weeks

I survived my first quarter at FIDM! 1/3 of the way done! I can't say I learned a whole lot. With already having a marketing degree, a lot of things were repeat.

Today is moving day! Out of 604 and into 615...big move, I know! :-) Buuut it's past time to get out!

My roomies and I went out for a celebratory dinner last night. It was wonderful to have an evening out and not have to worry about coming home to homework. I'm also hoping to get in some pool time these next couple of weeks! It's been far too long!

My Life is in Shambles!

I now realize why they give us a two-week break at the end of the quarter. At the rate I'm going, I'm going to need two months to recover!! I barely have time to form a thought between school and work. Work has been CRAZY busy with the transition we're going through--the store manager's last day is today, but he was on vacation for two weeks, we have no assistant store manager, and one sales supervisor. Talk about nobody working at the store, ever! So between picking up shifts and finishing up taxing homework projects, I've been a busy little girl! If I make it until next Tuesday, crazy, busy is good. I love it! But, it's not looking promising that I'll make it!

Fashion's Night Out Madness

Thursday, September 6, was Fashion's Night Out on North Robertson. Working it was so much fun, but I wish I could have been on the street seeing what else was going on. All the stores collaborated and were open later than normal and served champagne and some even appetizers.

Fashion's Night Out is a global initiative, sponsored by Vogue and the CFDA. The first event began in 2009 in New York. In 2010, the event spread world-wide. It started as a means to encourage consumers to shop and support the fashion industry during the tough economic times. The event has now expanded into New York Fashion Week (in New York City...everywhere else it's still only one night of fun).

Something I learned from FNO...NOT the right night to break in new heels! My feet are STILL trying to recover! But it was fun and I looked fabulous! ;-)

Michael Kors

I recently started working at Michael Kors and love it! I am a part-time Sales Stylist, but due to "shenanigans" (store manager's word) that's going on at the store, I've ended up working a ton the past few weeks. Fulltime work plus fulltime school makes for one tired girl! But I'm loving every minute of it! The only drawback is that I'm seriously lacking on pool days!

A huge perk of working at Michael Kors is that we are required to be dressed head-to-toe in Michael Kors. Tough job, right? Here were my Fall 2 outfits...we get new ones within the next few weeks!
